Biography

Henry C. Painter, age 89, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012. Resident of Commercial Point. WW II U.S Army Veteran, and recipient of The Purple Heart and Five Bronze Stars. Retired from Rockwell International. Member of VFW Post 4022 where he has served as Post Quartermaster. Henry is also a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Preceded in death by wife Edythe; grandson Benjamin Davis. Survived by 4 daughters, Rose (Kent) Martin, Linda (Larry) Hancock, Jacqueline Davis, and Christine Haithcock; grandchildren Theresa Hazlett, Danielle Bober, Michael Hancock, Kenny Davis, Leslie Moore, Kelly Stoughton, and Steve and Christopher Haithcock; 16 Great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Robert and William Painter; sister-in-law Eileen Rairdon; niece, Jan Ward; nephew Gary (Stacey) Rairdon numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 2-4 & 6-8pm with Prayer Service at 7:45pm at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High Street. Friends and family will meet for Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 10am at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 S. High St., on the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery, with Burial and Military Honors to follow. Msgr. Romano Ciotolo, Celebrant.
