Biography

Dale R. Johnson, 91, Thursday July 26, 2012 at Tuscany Gardens, Pataskala. WWII Navy Veteran. Dale served as a treasurer and honorary commander of the American Legion Post #430 and a member of VFW Post #9857 as well as the 40et8. He retired from Typographic Printing. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Martha; daughter Helen McFadden; brothers Vern and Gene Johnson. He is survived by five children; Liz (Bill) Richards, Bill (Carolyn) Johnson, Dale Johnson Jr., Carol (Gene) Mileusnich, Mary (Tom) Williams, plus 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be at THE MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High St., Mon. 2-4 and 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Tuesday at Christ the King Church, 2777 E. Livingston Ave. Celebrants are Fr. David Schalk and Fr. Kevin Lutz. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Bishop Griffin Center, 2855 E. Livingston Ave., Cols, OH 43209. Or the Holy Family Soup Kitchen, 584 W. Broad St., Cols, OH 43215. Both organizations provide services to the poor and homeless in the Columbus area.
