Life Legacy


Elizabeth (Betty) Jane Reiner, peacefully passed into Heaven on April 30, 2010. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 8, 1927 to Theresa and Anthony Zwilling. Betty graduated from South High School in 1945. She worked at the Farm Bureau for several years. She met the love of her life in high school, but their relationship did not grow into a romance until a chance meeting several years later at the old Crystal Ballroom at Buckeye Lake. They remained devoted to one another after 58 years of marriage. During that time she worked beside him at the family business, Reiner's Bakery in German Village until it was sold in 1974. Betty was Fred's guiding light through their years together. She will live in his heart forever. Betty always enjoyed crafts, gardening, dancing, many wonderful vacations and spending time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Marcus Zwilling, sister, Pauline Luft Schirtzinger and two nephews Jack Zwilling and Tom Luft. Betty is survived by her loving husband, Fred, nephew, Eugene Zwilling, nieces, Patricia Harris, Karen Sutton, Terri Bensch and their families, brother-in-law and his wife, Bill and Lee Reiner and their family, special friend, Deacon Roger Minner from St. Mary's Church in German Village. The family will receive friends Monday 4-8 pm at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. HIGH ST. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10am St. Mary Church, 684 S. Third St., German Village. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.
